Garrick Valverde
Senior Development Manager
Garrick Valverde is a Senior Development Manager at Apex Clean Energy, where he leads development of Box Car Wind. He joined Apex in 2021 after beginning his renewable energy career in 2018, working on contracts for the sale of renewable energy to customers.
Garrick works closely with landowners and Apex’s specialists in permitting, engineering, and local government engagement to guide the project’s development. Born and raised in northeast Kansas, he brings a straightforward approach to his work, grounded in honesty and clear communication. He believes lasting relationships start with giving landowners direct answers and following through on commitments.

Scott Jansen
Director of Development
Scott brings over six years of experience in the industry, having worked on projects across the Midwest (in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota). Scott takes on many responsibilities at Apex, yet his ultimate focus is working with landowners to understand and appreciate their unique history and future with the land. When he is not busy accelerating the shift to clean energy, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and their three daughters in Wisconsin's Lake Country.

Ryan Redlin
Development Land Manager
Born and raised on a third-generation farm in northeastern South Dakota, Ryan brings a unique perspective to land management. As a landowner himself, he understands what motivates and concerns landowners, which helps bridge gaps to move projects forward in a meaningful way for all parties. Ryan assists the land campaign for multiple projects across the Midwest, working primarily in Minnesota. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.

Anna LaQua
Senior Public Engagement Manager
Anna LaQua is the Public Engagement Manager for the project. Anna has spent much of her career working in state and local policy development. Through this work, she found a passion for community economic development. In her role, Anna works closely with local elected officials, community leaders, landowners, and residents to gather feedback, answer project questions, and work alongside communities to realize the benefits of local energy development. Anna lives in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
